When I started HONEY, I looked at myself through a critical lense, and I analysed firstly my strengths and challenges, and then what makes me happy and engaged. It became evident that my biggest value and offering was creating, networking and the development of people and businesses. • to create a business that would ensure my future personal development and knowledge learning, and therefore retaining my personal engagement • to create a business that would help in the development of younger people and business • to bring “relevence” and “freshness” to a tired industry, Retail Store Design and Construction.

Dato Papashvili, born in Georgia, speaking six languages, has lived in Russia, Georgia, China, Italy, and Portugal, is heading up Business Development at HONEY.

With a robust foundation in international relations, law, and marketing communications, his career in marketing and e-commerce has been defined by meaningful collaborations with multinational companies, including YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP, Valentino, MAC Cosmetics, H&M, and Stone Island. Additionally, he has worked in diplomacy as a sinologist and Chinese language specialist.

Dato’s achievements include serving as PR and Marketing Executive at SINOMEDIA, where he developed a bilingual content strategy and organized cultural events. He also served as Asian Market Manager at the Georgia and Asia-Africa Chamber of Commerce (GAACC), promoting trade and investment opportunities between Georgia and Asian markets.

His academic and professional journey has fueled his passion for business development, strategic partnerships, and brand building, with a focus on social responsibility and sustainability. His multilingual skills and cultural awareness enable him to bridge gaps and drive meaningful outcomes in dynamic, collaborative environments. Committed to discovering talent and fostering growth, Dato believes success lies in creating transformative experiences that inspire, connect, and support people.

Johannes Antonio Vescio is Founder and CEO of HONEY, Australian born, with both Italian and Dutch heritage.

As a former Senior Director at Capri Holdings, since 2012, he created the team and executed the strategy from the ground up, running a 200-million-euro budget which annually rolled out over 65 freestanding stores and some 250 wholesale locations.

Reporting directly into CEO, Johan oversaw the engine room for one of the most supercharged growth periods in fashion history. The portfolio comprised of some 15 global franchise partners plus the facilities and maintenance of 180 direct stores in EMEA, including the design and build of flagships in the world's most fashion-centric cities, London, Paris, and Milan.

Prior to Michael Kors, Johannes trained in Milan for a renowned architecture firm, where he seeded a solid foundation working for a variety of retail clients.

Australian born, Johannes grew up in a construction world, where his father ran a successful construction company. It is no surprise he has curated an unrivaled network of architects, engineers, and consultants alongside an army of approved millworkers and scores of key construction companies.

These extraordinary connections form the bedrock of contacts and expertise that will fuel any project, delivering insights and advice that add vision, value and minimise costs, both at source and across supply chains.
